Cost of Filing an Amended Return
- If you filed your original return with OLT: The amended return is free. There is no charge to access the amended return feature and prepare Form 1040-X for a return originally filed through OLT.
- If you did not file your original return with OLT: OLT does not support filing an amended return for a return that was originally prepared and filed using another tax software provider.
How to Amend a Return Filed with OLT
- Sign in to your OLT account.
- Select the tax year you want to amend.
- On the Tax Return Status page, choose "File an Amended Return."
- Make the necessary corrections or additions to your return.
- OLT will generate Form 1040-X and any corrected forms required for the amendment.
