California Alzheimer's Disease/Related Disorders Fund
The California Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementia Voluntary Tax Contribution Fund allows taxpayers to contribute a portion of their state tax liability to support research and services related to Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.
Purpose of the Fund
- Supports grants to California scientists for research on Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.
- Funds research in basic science, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, behavioral problems, and caregiving.
- Aims to address the growing public health crisis, with nearly 600,000 Californians living with the disease and 2 million providing care.
- Contributes to community-based services such as meals, adult day care, and transportation for affected individuals.
How to Contribute
Taxpayers can designate a voluntary contribution to this fund when filing their California state tax return. The contribution is made through Code 401 on the appropriate tax form.
