You can check the status of your Hawaii individual income tax refund online using the Where's My Refund service available through Hawaii Tax Online.
How to Check Your Refund Status
Visit the Where's My Refund page on Hawaii Tax Online and enter the requested identifying information, such as your Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) and the exact refund amount shown on your Hawaii income tax return.
When Refund Status Is Available
- For electronically filed returns, refund status is generally available 7–8 weeks after the return is submitted.
- For paper-filed returns, refund status is generally available 9–10 weeks after the return is submitted.
- Refund information is updated once each day.
