When making Oklahoma state income tax payments, taxpayers have several options for payment methods and delivery, depending on whether they are paying a balance due or making estimated tax payments. The Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) provides both electronic and mail-in options, with specific instructions for each.
Electronic Payment Options
- Online Payment via OkTAP: Taxpayers may make individual income tax payments electronically through OkTAP (Oklahoma Taxpayer Access Point). OkTAP is available 24 hours a day and allows taxpayers to make electronic payments, including ACH (electronic check) payments. Certain payment methods, such as credit or debit card payments processed by third-party vendors, may be subject to a convenience fee.
- Estimated Tax Payments: Estimated income tax payments may also be made electronically through OkTAP. Taxpayers who choose to pay electronically generally do not need to submit a paper payment voucher.
Mail-In Payment Options
- Form 511-V (Payment Voucher): If paying by mail, include Form 511-V with your check or money order. Cut along the dotted line and include only the payment voucher. Do not staple or attach your payment to the voucher.
- Payment Instructions: Make your check or money order payable to the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Do not send cash. Include your name, Social Security Number, daytime telephone number, and "2025 Form 511-V" on your payment.

Due Dates and Extensions
- General Due Date: Oklahoma individual income tax returns and payments are generally due April 15, unless the due date falls on a weekend or legal holiday, in which case the due date is the next business day.
- Electronic Filing: Taxpayers who electronically file their Oklahoma income tax return receive an automatic filing extension to April 20. To qualify, any balance due must also be paid electronically by April 20. If the tax is not paid electronically, penalty and interest may apply beginning from the original due date.
Refund Options
Taxpayers may choose to receive their Oklahoma income tax refund by direct deposit into a checking or savings account. Direct deposit is generally the fastest and most secure method of receiving a refund.
