I Have Used OLT in the Past but My Username and Password Are Not Working. Should I Create a New Account?
If you have used Online Taxes (OLT) in the past but are unable to log in with your current username and password, you may need to create a new account. This is especially true if you have not used OLT since 2019 or earlier.
When to Create a New Account
- Not used since 2019: If your last use of OLT was before 2019, you will need to create a new account. OLT has transitioned to the OLT ONE account system, which allows you to access all your tax information in one place.
- Account inactive for over 90 days: If you haven’t logged in for more than 90 days, you may be prompted to reset your password. If the reset process fails or you’re unable to recover your account, creating a new one is recommended.
- OLT ONE Account: The new OLT ONE account system enables you to link prior years (back to 2019) and manage all your tax returns in one secure location.
How to Create a New Account
- Go to https://www.olt.com/main/home/default.php.
- Click on the green button labeled “Start new Account” under the “New user to OLT” section.
- Enter your requested information and click “Create My Account.”
- Accept the user agreement and set up your 3 security questions.
- Verify your identity using a code sent to your email or mobile phone.
- Once verified, you can link any prior years (from 2019 onward) to your new OLT ONE account.
Recovering Your Account
If you believe your account is still active, try recovering it by:
- Visiting https://www.olt.com/main/home/default.php.
- Clicking “Sign In” and selecting “Forgot Your Username?” or “Forgot Your Password?”.
- Following the prompts to receive a verification code via email, text, or authenticator app.
