How to Access IRS Forms and Publications
Online Access: Visit the IRS Forms, Instructions, and Publications page at: IRS Forms, Instructions & Publications
You can view, download, and print current and prior-year tax forms, instructions, and publications. This is the fastest and most convenient method.
Order Forms by Phone: Call 800-829-3676 to order certain tax forms, instructions, and publications by mail.
Mobile-Friendly Forms: The IRS offers select mobile-friendly forms that can be completed online or accessed through your IRS Online Account when available.
How to Access Your Tax Return
Tax Software Users: If you prepared your return using tax software, log in to your account and navigate to your saved returns or tax documents to download and print a PDF copy of your return.
IRS Tax Transcripts: If you need information from a previously filed federal return, you may obtain a tax transcript through your IRS Online Account or by using the Get Transcript service on IRS.gov.
Alternative Formats
If you need tax forms, instructions, notices, or publications in an alternative format such as large print, braille, audio (MP3), plain text (TXT), or braille-ready file (BRF), you can submit Form 9000, Alternative Media Preference.

- Contact your tax software provider's customer support if you cannot access or print documents stored in your account.

The IRS does not maintain copies of tax returns prepared and stored by third-party tax software providers. If you need a copy of a return prepared using tax software, you should access it through your software account or obtain an IRS transcript if applicable.
