How to add Form IT-540

Software can guide you through how to add Form Form IT-540 while filing your Louisiana state tax return using our software. To add Form IT-540 in the Software, follow these steps:

From within your tax return (Online), in the left menu (for mobile devices, tap the three dots in the top-right corner to see more option), click on State.
Click Start or Revisit Louisiana State.
Follow the on-screen prompts to enter your; Personal information, Income information, Deductions and credits.
The software will automatically prepare Form IT-540 based on the information entered in your federal and Louisiana state sections.
When you reach the Tax Summary section, carefully review all entries for accuracy.
