How to add Resident State ?
Software can guide you through how to add Resident State while filing your tax return using our Software. To add Resident State in the software, follow these steps:
- From within your tax return (Online), in the left menu (for mobile devices, tap the three dots in the top-right corner to see more options), click on My Info.
- If you are navigating the tax return for the first time, the Resident State option is available on the Personal section page next to the mailing address and resident state input section.
- You can select the option there.
- Otherwise, under the Personal section, click Show more next to Contact Information, and then click Edit next to Resident State.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
