Delaware Special Funds Contributions
Delaware residents and non-residents may contribute to special funds while filing their state income tax return. These contributions support important community initiatives and are reported on specific lines of the Delaware tax forms.
Types of Special Funds
- Delaware Veterans Home Fund: Support for veterans' services. Residents report this on Line 18G of Form PIT-RSS (Resident Schedule III). Non-residents report on Line 7G of Form PIT-NNS (Non-Resident Schedule II).
- Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Trust Fund: Promotes organ and tissue donation. Residents report this on Line 18E of Form PIT-RSS.
How to Report Contributions
Contributions to special funds are voluntary and can be made by checking the appropriate line on your Delaware tax return:
- Residents: Use Form PIT-RSS, Resident Schedule III.
- Non-residents: Use Form PIT-NNS, Non-Resident Schedule II.
Reporting via Online Software
When using Online Taxes (OLT) software, you can add contributions to special funds by:
- Navigating to the "State" section in your tax return.
- Selecting "Start or Revisit Delaware state."
- Locating the "Contributions to Special Funds" section and following on-screen instructions.
