Can You Help With My Parent's Login Information (Customer's Account Under Another User)?
Online Taxes (OLT) does not provide assistance with login information for any customer accounts, including those under another user such as a parent. For security and privacy reasons, we cannot access or share login credentials for any individual’s account.
Important Notes for Account Access
- Each taxpayer must manage their own account and login details.
- If you are assisting a parent or another individual, they must create or recover their own login through the IRS or authorized tax platforms.
- OLT does not store or retrieve personal login information for any user.
- For IRS-related account access, visit the official IRS website and use the "Get an IRS Online Account" tool.
What You Can Do
- Encourage your parent to reset their password using the "Forgot Password?" option on the IRS website.
- Ensure they are using the correct email address or Social Security Number associated with their account.
- For tax return preparation, OLT can assist with filing forms such as Form 1040, Form 8332, or Form 8615, but not with account login recovery.
